FAQ
What payment options are available in the app? Is my personal data secure? What should I do if I forget my smartphone when I go for a job interview? Here you’ll find the most important questions and answers about our new BE app.
-
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use encrypted communication exclusively to transfer your data and store it in secure European data centres.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. We work with Stripe, one of the leading payment service providers. Only the highest security standards are applied when transferring and storing data.
Is my personal data secure?
Yes. We place great importance on data protection and do not pass on your data to third parties. When you buy tickets via the app, your booking details are forwarded to the BE's ticketing system to ensure a smooth process. In practical terms, this means that relevant data such as your name, performance details and ticket number are stored in the ticketing system of "easy-connect-Ticket Gretchen GmbH". This ensures that BE customers can – where necessary – make use of the customer service provided by "easy-connect-Ticket Gretchen GmbH".

I'm having trouble using the app.
Oh dear – but we can sort this out. Please send us a brief message (including the error message, if applicable) to theaterkasse@berliner-ensemble.de. We'll be happy to help!
The app crashed during the purchase process – what should I do now?
This usually happens when there are problems with the network connection, meaning the payment process cannot be completed. Important: if you haven't received a confirmation email for your ticket purchase, your payment method has not been charged. Please restart the app and try again.
-
How do I redeem my tickets?
On the payment page, as well as in the confirmation email, you'll find information on how the ticket will be delivered. There are various options depending on the event. The following ticket options are available as standard:
Mobile ticket: Bring your mobile phone with you to the entrance and show your ticket in the app or via Passbook.
Print-at-Home: Print out the PDF from the confirmation email and show the printout at the entrance. What should I do if I encounter any problems, e.g. if I forget my smartphone or the battery is flat?
Please contact the BE box office, which opens one hour before the performance begins, either in person at the ticket counter or in advance by telephone on +49 30 284 08 155 (Monday to Saturday between 10.00 am and 6.30 pm).
Can I cancel tickets I have purchased?
As a general rule, there is no entitlement to a refund or exchange of tickets. In particular, no refund will be given in the event of a cancelled or interrupted performance due to force majeure. Notwithstanding this, the BE reserves the right to make decisions on a case-by-case basis in justified individual cases. The administration fee for a cancellation made as a gesture of goodwill is €4.00 per seat/per ticket. The refund will be issued as a voucher. What payment options are available?
The BE accepts payments via the app from Mastercard and Visa, as well as payments via Google & Apple Pay and PayPal.
