Amal Keller
Amal Keller, born in 1993 in Ebersberg near Munich, began her acting studies at the KONRAD WOLF Film University Babelsberg in 2016. During this time, she worked with Anita Vulesica, Eva Meckbach and Sebastian Schwarz, amongst others. Her first engagements took her to the Hans Otto Theatre in Potsdam and to the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, where, in 2019, she played the title role in "Germania", based on Heiner Müller's play, directed by Claudia Bauer. This was followed by a permanent engagement at the Volksbühne Berlin, where she continued to work with Claudia Bauer, as well as with Lucia Biehler, Pinar Karabulut and Florian Hein. She then spent two years as a member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Leipzig, appearing in productions directed by Elsa-Sophie Jach, Thomas Köck and, once again, Claudia Bauer. This long-standing working relationship led her to the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, where she is currently appearing in "Die Schattenpräsidentinnen". In 2024, Amal Keller was nominated for the First Steps Award for Best Young Actress for her role as Paula in Hans Henschel's film "Geister". She has appeared in various film and television productions. Since the 26/27 season she is a member of the Berliner Ensemble.
