With around 50 guest performances each year, the Berliner Ensemble is one of Europe's internationally most renowned stages. The name says it all, we have the privilege of maintaining a steady company of excellent actors and place significant value on cultivating enduring relationships with directors who collaborate regularly with the Ensemble. This has enabled us to build an extensive touring repertoire over the years.

Noteworthy new productions include "Antigone", directed by the widely celebrated theatre maker Johan Simons; "De Profundis", an enthralling monologue by Oscar Wilde performed by the legendary Jens Harzer and staged by our Artistic Director Oliver Reese; and "K.", a musical piece featuring texts by Franz Kafka directed by Barrie Kosky.
