Anita Augustin

Anita Augustin (born in 1970 in Klagenfurt, Austria) holds a doctorate in philosophy (studied in Vienna, London, NYC) and is a certified bartender. She has been working as a dramaturge for 25 years (including at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Neuköllner Oper Berlin, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Hannover, Schauspiel Leipzig, Salzburg Festival, Volkstheater Vienna, Landestheater Linz, Theater Chur, Rote Fabrik Zurich, and Théâtre National de la Colline Paris). Augustin writes plays, live radio plays, and augmented reality games for the stage. Her novels “Der Zwerg reinigt den Kittel” (SPIEGEL bestseller) and “Alles Amok” have been published by Ullstein Verlag. Her latest novel, "Wie ähnlich ist uns der Zackenbarsch, dieses äußerst hässliche Tier", was published by Leykam. Augustin is a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin, presenter and mastermind of the theater talk show "Fight Club Tirol" at the Tiroler Landestheater, and co-director at Schauspiel Erlangen.
