Annabelle Lengronne

Of Senegalese origin, Annabelle Lengronne left Martinique at the age of 18 and moved to Paris to become an actress. She appeared in numerous theatre productions until she landed her first on-screen role in the series "Xanadu" in 2011. That same year, she appeared in the comedy "Les Mythos", which brought together several young comic talents, as well as in the drama "Une vie meilleure", starring Guillaume Canet as a restaurant owner in debt.

The following year, Annabelle starred in the box-office hit comedy "Les Kaïra" and, in the TV film "Danbé, la tête haute", took on the role of boxing champion Aya Cissoko. As her roles grew in prominence, Annabelle Lengronne played the female lead in "La Fine équipe", which also reunited her with William Lebghil following "Les Mythos". At the same time, the young actress appeared in the series "Fais pas ci, fais pas ça" and "Engrenages".

Whilst favouring comedy – as evidenced by her performances in "Jusqu'ici tout va bien" (2019) and "Sun" (same year) – Annabelle Lengronne changed tack with "Filles de joie", a film centred on the theme of prostitution. In this realistic drama, she plays a prostitute alongside Sara Forestier and Noémie Lvovsky. She then appeared in the drama "Paula", which deals with paedophilia, as well as the comedies "Les Femmes du square" and "Hommes au bord de la crise de nerfs".

In 2023, Annabelle made a lasting impression playing the lead role in Léonore Serra's drama "Un petit frère", by Léonore Serraille, which was selected for Cannes and for which she won the Best Actress award at the Stockholm Film Festival.
